First published as a hardcover by Little Brown in 1967, this is the only published instance where Rod first wrote in short story form rather than script format. It contains a trio of novellas (The Escape Route, Color Scheme, & Eyes) two of which were he later adapted into the classic Night Gallery pilot. The new edition includes a foreword by editorial board member Mark Olshaker.
